Truck Reception Systems


Saxlund have essentially three types (according to the material nature):

 

For sludge two types:

 

1. Sliding Frame Bunker

An hydraulically actuated lid opens to allow trucks to tip material into the sludge reception silo.  A Sliding Frame positioned on the baseplate in the flat bottomed silo reciprocates across the floor promoting mass flow and discharging directly into a silo pumpscrew conveyor (or  via a screw conveyor in to a progressive cavity pump) where it is pumped to the next process.

 

 

 

2. Screw trough reception

The truck approaches the screw bunker via a short section of ramp inclined at 3°. As the truck reverses up against two wheel stops a magic eye causes a roller shutter door to open. In the bottom of a wedge shaped reception bunker there are six inclined shaftless screw conveyors supported in stainless steel troughs. The screws provide an 'active bottom' to the bunker. The bunker structure has extended high side plates and a horizontal and curved roller shutter door to close and seal above the bunker/screws after a lorry has tipped its load.

Once tipped the cake material is pulled towards the discharge head (top) of the bunker by the shaftless screws and discharges directly into a transfer shaftless screw conveyor.  This inclined conveyor transfer the cake away from the bunker screw a progressive cavity blending pumps (by others) sitting on ground level.

3. Saxlund Truck Docking Station (TDS).

The fuels will be delivered by trucks with a walking floor discharge mechanism into the plant and willdischarge the fuels to the reception station consisting of several parallel-arranged screw conveyors in ahousing to transport the fuels to the following transport chain conveyor to lift up the material to a silo.To eliminate dust emissions from the receiving station a filter on top of the roof is installed with its own fanand pneumatic filter cleaning.In the following pages, you will get a technical description of the components which can be addedwith the options quoted below.

Screw Trough Bunker for Sludge Cake Reception

Reception /discharge rates up to 50m3/hr

  • Effective and simple operation
  • Fully enclosed screw trough reception not suffering from any leakage
  • Minimised civil cost required for partial excavation of trough below ground for truck reception.
  • Screw trough is lined with poly plastic liners for reduced friction and wear.
