Saxlund International has extensive knowledge of rotary valves for different applications in many industries. Rotary valves are often utilised within ash handling systems to create an air seal.
The valves can be supplied in a number of versions depending on the operating temperature and the application.
Features:
- Large rectangular asymetrical intel gives optimum pocket filling. Material has extra time to settle in the valve pocket - Large valves only.
- Cutting knife or knives to cut large pieces so that the valve does not jam. Also used to clean the rotor tips before they enter the case - Large valves only.
- Maximum number of blades in contact with the vavle body at any one time.
- Precision machining of components.
- Minimum clearance of rotor within body depending on operating temperature.
Rotary valves are available in various configurations including carbon and stainless steel bodies, hardened chrome linings or cast iron and extended bearing housings and stuffing box seals for temperature protecting and long life. For elevated temperature operation, water cooled valves are available.
Available in standard or heavy-duty design.
